Carl Zeiss, Voigtlander & Kodak Retina Cameras
In all my years as a phoptographer/collector, I never came across the camera you see below.
This model has the Zeiss Novar Anastigmat f3.5/75mm lens. And the Zeiss Teronar f3.5/75mm viewing lens.

A few months ago a friend and I went to explore a local camera cafe. While we were there chatting with thte owner/photographer, he produced a twin lens reflex camera that I was totally unfamiliar with. I was so impressed by the brightness of the image on the focusing screen, that I became interested in knowing more. The result is the camera you see above: A Zeiss Ikoflex 1c medium format 6X6cm camera.. The image on the focusing screen is so bright that I thought it could be a a high-lux screen. But I discovered that it's the original screen. It's a considerably brigjhter than most of my Rollei TLR cameras. Apart from that, and the fact that it has a built in meter, the camera is similar to most other TLR cameras. But true to the makers name, it's verywell made. I hope you enjoy taking a look at each image/ If you click on them they will open to give you a much larger view.
Here are just a few images of another Zeiss masterpiece of German engineering: The Zeiss Contaflex 35 Super camera.
Once again this is another camera that I never owned or held in my hand. It's very solidly made, so it's on the heavy side.
Of course, there are no plastics involved in these cameras: it's all metal!
This camera has the standard Carl Zeiss Tessar f2.8/50mm lens, and the Carl Zeiss Pro Tessar f3.2/35mm lens.
Surprisingly the meter still works. Although I doubt it's a match for a modern digital meter.
I had the camera and lenses serviced, so it's in quite nice condition.
The famous Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 531/2 2.25"X 2.25" (4.5X6cm.) The camera can also produce 6X6cm images with the included mask.
This a legendary folding camera that sports the Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar f3.5/10.5cm lens.
This is a legendary model that produces stunning medium format images.
I had this camera serviced by the King of Folders: Jurgen Kushnic at Certo 66.
This is not a Zeiss camera. It's a Voigtlander Bessa 1. Folding Camera. It also produces 4.5X 6cm images.
Or 6X6cm with a mask.
It has the Voigtlander Vaskar f4.5/10.5cm lens. Believe me, this lens is sharp.
